North Star Energy Consulting LLC works in close cooperation with residential programs of Focus on Energy in the State of Wisconsin. All of our work is tailored to meet or exceed the expectations of the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® program for existing homes or the Wisconsin ENERGY STAR Homes program for new construction.
Service Description: Our emphasis for existing homes is on problem solving for such issues as high energy bills, ice damming, condensation problems, cold rooms, carbon monoxide, smoky fireplaces and mold. For new construction, we offer pre-construction plan evaluation and consulting, on site consultation during construction for energy and ventilation issues and commissioning testing to help assure the house is working properly. NSEC approaches the house as a system of interactive components. Our comprehensive diagnostic and inspection procedures are designed for each house’s unique circumstances to help assure that curing one problem does not create another problem. The comprehensive report produced for each client provides a road map for present and future improvements for energy efficiency and general indoor air quality. North Star Energy Consulting LLC does not sell any other services or products. The recommendations provided are a neutral third party opinion based on current building science.
